Participation Funding Program
Target Groups: Youth at Risk, Job Seekers, Aboriginals
The following provides the packaging rules for this qualification, followed by the list of relevant units of competency.
Successful completion of thirteen (13) units of competency made up of:
- Three (3) core units, and
- Ten (10) elective units of which
- One (1) must be chosen from group A
- One (1) must be chosen from group B
- At least three (3) must be chosen from group C
- Up to three (3) may be chosen from group D and/or group E
- Up to two (2) may be chosen from Certificate II, Certificate III or Certificate IV level from this, or any other Training Package or accredited course
Units chosen must be relevant to the job function.
There are both licensed and non-licensed units of competency relating to high risk work in the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package. To be appointed under any statutory requirements in related roles, units of competency should be selected to meet the state/territory licensing requirements.
There are no prerequisites to imported units listed in this qualification. Where a unit is imported as an elective care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified are complied with.

“The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as student service and resource fees”.
High Risk Courses selected; Students are required to send their paperwork into WorkSafe with the application fee, $95 new application and $74.55 existing application.
Duration full time 7 to 10 hours per day the number of days depends on electives chosen (Approximately 5-8 weeks full time).
All training is conducted at CTS yard, 59 Buckley Street, Cockburn Central WA 6164M
CONCESSIONS ONS
The following students are entitled to the concession rate on course fees:
a) Persons and dependants of persons holding:
i) A Pensioner Concession Card.
ii) A Repatriation Health Benefits Card issued by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
iii) A Health Care Card.
b) Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of AUSTUDY or ABSTUDY.
c) Persons and dependants of persons in receipt of the Youth Allowance.
d) Persons and dependants of persons who are inmates of a custodial institution.
e) Secondary school-aged persons, not enrolled at school.
If the concession is valid for the full enrolment period, then all eligible units commenced within that period attract the concession rate. If the concession is valid for part of the enrolment period, then only eligible units commenced on or after the start date and prior to the expiry of the concession attract the concession rate.
Proof of eligibility for concession must be shown prior to commencement of the unit.
CTS Manager may waive all fees and charges for students that they assess as being in severe financial hardship. Whether a student is in severe financial hardship is to be determined on a case by case basis by CTS. An application and evidenced-based assessment will need to be carried out before enrolment.
All students must have a Unique Student Identifier Number (USI).
